＜小さい頃の思い出＞

うみねこは、自転車に乗る訓練をするということで、

キャンディキャンディという肌の色の白い、金髪の女の子の絵が描いてある

自転車を買ってもらった。

自転車に乗ってヨロヨロしていたら、

なんか知らない子供が話しかけてきた。

なんか自転車よこせとか言ってる。

それまで近所の子数人以外とはあまり遊んだことがない。

突然知らない子供が、ものをよこせと話しかけてくるから驚いてドキドキしたしすごく怖かった。

だから、すごくよく記憶に残っている。

その自転車はどうなったかというと最後は盗まれてしまった。

親が”なんか高かった”とか言って、

すごく一生懸命探していた。

ある日やっと、自転車がたくさん止めてある場所に、似たような自転車があったと言って騒いでいた。

自転車には家族が名前を彫りこんでいたので、見つけたらしい。

名前のところを一生懸命やすりで削って消した後があり、

絶対にうちの自転車だと言っていた。

親は見つけた自転車のところにうみねこを連れて行って、

自分の自転車かどうか確認しろと言った。

自転車にプリントされていた、肌の白い金髪のキャンディキャンディという女の子の絵は

全て黒マジックで丁寧に塗りつぶされていた。

変わり果てた姿を見てすぐに自分の自転車じゃないと言った。

”自分の自転車とか思わないほうがいいんだよ。他にも欲しい子が一杯居るのに・・・”

そういうヒソヒソの近所のご指導もよく聞こえた。

うみねこは大きくなってからは自転車は一台も買わなかった。

部屋に置く家具なども量産品。

引越しの時にはリサイクルショップに捨て、

新しい場所に引っ越した時は似たようなものをリサイクルショップで購入した。

ちゅうこのゲームソフトも買った。

昔のうみねこみたいに大切なゲームソフトに名前を書いている人も沢山いた。

名前はクリーナーで消して使うんだよ。

それが、国際都市東京の暮し方。

彼らが最後消したいのは日本のコインに書いてある昭和っていう年号とか、

紙幣に印刷されている人物の顔とか。

”日本銀行”っていう表示かな。

だから、日本銀行が配るの。常識的に・・

リサイクルは国策だし小泉純一郎内閣の時代に唯一常識的な法律は決まって、今もそのまま。

＜アメリカのことを考える＞

イランが日本の中古車欲しいんだって。

国際都市東京のローカルな街角で出会ったイラン人がそう言っていた。

イランが言ってるのはうみねこたち非常識な国際都市東京の日本人に、

日本製の車に自分の名前書くなって言うことでしょう。

誰かが真っ黒に塗ってしまったお目当ての日本製の自動車、

日本銀行券で配ってるのに、

真っ黒に塗られた日本という文字、真っ白に塗っても日本製の自動車の顔が元に戻らないよ。
