These CIA-vetted Syrian rebel groups fighting Assad are Russia's primary targets

Since 2013, the CIA has been training and equipping various moderate rebel elements in the Syrian civil war in an effort to undermine the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and force him to the negotiating table.

Among the range of munitions and supplies that the CIA has funneled to the various brigades of the Free Syrian Army and other moderate groups through Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Turkey are TOW anti-tank missiles.

Such anti-tank weaponry has also functioned as a game changer for the rebels, who generally lack the same sort of heavy weaponry, air support, and armor that the regime can muster.

TOWs are guided missiles that are capable of thoroughly damaging or destroying tanks, armored carriers, and other vehicles that the Assad regime might send into the field. And, unlike other projectiles used against armored targets, such as RPGs, TOW missiles can be used from a considerable distance.

These weapons have helped decimate Syrian armor and pushed a recent regime offensive against rebel-held territory to a standstill in reported "tank massacres."

For instance, on October 8, a Syrian armored offensive suffered massive casualties as, rebels armed "with US-made TOW missiles … [and] other guided rockets ... caused the destruction … of over 15 armored cars, vehicles, and tanks," according to the Syrian Observatory of Human Rights.
What is striking is just how many CIA-vetted groups now exist throughout Syria receiving TOWs.

According to Syrian observer Hasan Mustafas, no fewer than 42 vetted groups now receive TOWs from a Saudi supply originally provided by the US. These weapons are funneled into Syria through Military Operations Command (MOC) posts in Turkey and Jordan that are co-operated by Western and local intelligence agencies.

The various groups are well documented due to the nature of TOW provisions. Saudi Arabia can not deliver the US-supplied TOWs without prior CIA approval. Additionally, Mustafas notes, the various vetted groups must apply to receive the TOWs. They are then provided with small batches of arms.  

This arrangement ensures that the TOWs, unless seized by rival rebel groups, stay in the hands of CIA-approved militias. The groups that the CIA currently allows munitions to be shared with are:

In response to the proliferation of TOW missiles, Russia has stepped up its bombing campaigns against the rebels. In particular, Moscow has targeted weapon caches and rebel positions in an effort to stem their ability to destroy Assad's armor. 

"My conclusion is that the timing of [the Russian] intervention was driven by Assad really going critical," Rep. Jim Himes (D), a member of the House Intelligence Committee, told the Associated Press.

Overall, the supply of TOWs is not a complete game changer in the Syrian civil war as weapons will not allow the rebls to completely overrun the Assad regime. However, they will help stall any push by Assad into rebel territory.

"Five hundred TOWs is not an inconsequential number," Jeffrey White, a defense fellow at The Washington Institute, told Business Insider recently.

"I don't think it will be a revolutionary event, but it will increase the attrition of regime armor, which will make it harder for the regime to conduct offensive operations."

それは、自衛隊の装備の代金の精算の話です。


日本列島を中国人が買うとクリミア占領のようなことは出来るのでしょうか？

国境線と新しいパスポートを新しい日本国憲法をもらえば、
自衛隊だ、安全保障問題だ、つまらない米軍の遊びニュースから離れることができます。

日本国憲法の皇室典範を除いた部分を憲法にする。
とにかく、日本という国は自衛隊とは何の関係もありません。



どうしても日本人と身分が違うというアメリカ人の基地のことは放っておいて、

自衛隊はどちらかというとイスラエル人の為にあるんじゃないんでしょうか？

イスラエル人というのは英語が母語で肌の色が白い西洋人を先祖に持っていて、
ハーバード大学行ったとかシュメール文明人の子孫だとか、
元々日本人ではなかった特別に身分が高い人が住むんだそうです。


自衛隊とその食糧をまかなう畑だけが彼らの領土で、食べ物が売るほどあったなんて今までどちらが贅沢だったのか・・・



領土の中には、自衛隊や嘘つきのキリスト教徒の住む教会なんて要りません。


それでもなお、国境を越えた場所に住んでいるプロテスタント教会の人に”オマエは贅沢すぎる”とか言われるわけです。

アメリカ軍がそれを支援する、そして、日本王国じゃなくてイスラエル王国が出来るというなら諦めますよ。





よく考えると敵（自衛隊）の装備はアメリカが用意してやったんだよな。

英語が喋れるとか、外資系企業だとか自慢している身分が高い人は、周りの国が軍事力だと言うと日本人というのは何かが欠けていると焦るのかもしれません。

今、広大な土地に高級住宅を建てていると思いますが、自衛隊の基地の中に撤退してもらいたいと思っていました。

”日本の為だから。”

でしたっけ？

土地は中国が買い取り、兵器購入の支払額が大きければ大きいほど自衛隊の中で存在感が上ります。




ロシアは独立した後の、２３区の中ではかなり存在感を発揮できると思います。

”フィリピン人は本当に身分が高いよね、だって肌の色が白いんだよ。

肌の色の白い人が高級な買い物をするの！”


ロシア人は肌の色が白いから一番お金持ちになれますね。
イスラエル語を喋っていて平等だとか言うんじゃないでしょうか？

UK rolls out red carpet for China’s Xi on contentious visit

LONDON — Chinese President Xi Jinping was to address Britain’s Parliament and dine with Queen Elizabeth II on Tuesday as he began a state visit to cement the close economic ties between the two countries — a trip that risks being overshadowed by concerns about the effects of Chinese competition on the British economy.

Britain splashed out a welcome full of tradition and pomp for the Chinese leader’s four-day visit, driving Xi the half mile (1 kilometer) to Buckingham Palace, where he and his wife will stay, in a gilded carriage drawn by white horses.

Xi and his wife Peng Liyuan were greeted by the queen, her husband Prince Philip and dignitaries including Prime Minister David Cameron at Horse Guards parade ground near Buckingham Palace. The Chinese leader was welcomed with a 41-gun artillery salute before inspecting ranks of Grenadier Guards, who were decked out in scarlet tunics and bearskin hats.

Thousands of people lined the route along the Mall to see Xi go by, and demonstrators from human rights and pro-Tibet groups jostled with a much larger group of Xi well-wishers, whose chants of “China! China!” drowned out their rivals.

Britain’s Conservative-led government has been courting China, the world’s second-largest economy, for years. When Xi’s predecessor, Hu Jintao, paid a state visit to Britain in 2005, the countries announced $1.3 billion in trade deals. This time, Britain said the nations would sign 30 billion pounds ($46 billion) in business agreements.

Cameron has said the visit heralds a “golden era” between the two countries — a charm offensive welcomed by many.

Talon Li, a Chinese finance student at Greenwich University, stood with classmates along the Mall to welcome Xi and support closer ties between the two countries.

“It’s great,” he said. “U.K. and China will really help each other. They should stay friends — every British and Chinese person can be friends.”

But some British politicians, businesspeople and union members are alarmed by growing Chinese investment in key sectors of the British economy, and by Chinese competition in areas such as steel production.

Cameron is under pressure to raise the issue of China selling steel at a loss on world markets. Plunging world steel prices and a strong pound have pushed Britain’s steelmakers into crisis, with 1,200 layoffs announced Tuesday at Tata Steel just weeks after 2,200 jobs were lost at SSI’s plant in northeast England.

Tata said the layoffs at plants in northeast England and Scotland were in response to “a shift in market conditions caused by a flood of cheap imports, particularly from China, a strong pound and high electricity costs.”

The timing of the announcement seemed intended to pressure Britain’s government to address Britain-based producers’ complains about cheap Chinese steel.

China also is set to build a new nuclear power plant in southwest England, and Treasury chief George Osborne has struck deals he says will make London’s financial district a bridge between China and Western markets. Last month he announced an agreement for the People’s Bank of China to issue renminbi-denominated short-term bonds in London — the first time this has been done outside China.

The deals have sparked accusations Britain is pandering to China to secure investment. Opposition politicians are urging Cameron to raise China’s human rights record in his several meetings with Xi.

Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond insisted Britain was “developing a mature relationship with the Chinese.”

“I don’t think we are naive,” he told the BBC.

But James McGregor, a China expert at consulting firm APCO, said Beijing would not respect a country that did not stand up to it.

“If you act like a panting puppy, the object of your attention is going to think they have got you on a leash,” McGregor said.

China’s first couple will have a private lunch with the queen and a tour of the Buckingham Palace Picture Gallery before Xi meets with heir to the throne Prince Charles, his son Prince William and opposition Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn.

Later Tuesday, Xi will address lawmakers at Britain’s Parliament and attend a banquet hosted by the queen at Buckingham Palace.
