過激派組織ＩＳ＝イスラミックステートが、イラク西部のアンバール県の中心都市の政府庁舎などを制圧したことを受けて、アメリカのバイデン副大統領はイラクのアバディ首相と電話で会談し、軍事支援を加速させる考えを伝えました。

ラマディ周辺ではイラクの政府軍が新たに特殊部隊を送るなど部隊を増強していて、ＩＳとの間で激しい戦闘が続いているもようで、アメリカとしてはイラクへの支援を強化し、ＩＳの進撃を食い止めたい考えです。
